Annual Food Drive

So, this week kicks off our annual food drive here at Chem-Dry of Albuquerque and New Mexico. Every day, we send our top notch service men out into the field to deliver our award winning service. At the end of the job we explain that once a year we collect food from customers to donate to the local food bank. We love competition, so of course we challenge our servicemen to see who can bring in the most non-perishable food. Last year we collected over 400 lbs and this year is starting out strong. We hope to surpass last year’s total. If you want to participate in our food drive, you can donate at the time of your service, or feel free to drop by our offices and leave your donation with one of our friendly office staff. This is just one of the ways we strive to be the best service company we can be. Thank you for your support.

Fall is really, really here!

The mornings are definitely getting cooler and it seems like Fall has settled in. Everyone around here had a great weekend and is ready for a great week of service. Cleaning for the Cause

A friend recently pointed out thinkbeforeyoupink.org. It highlights companies who affiliate themselves with breast cancer awareness by promoting the pink ribbon when in actuality only a small portion of their proceeds make it to any sort of research for a cure. At Chem-Dry of Albuquerque and New Mexico we want you to be aware that $1.00 of the purchase price of our pink can of spot remover goes toward research. That commitment is nationwide and Chem-Dry corporate has committed a minimum of $25,000 towards the cause. Here locally, we have committed the total cleaning revenue from two of our 7 routes every Friday in October. Two routes is 8-10 jobs, multiplied by 4 days could be as much as 40 jobs. That is no small amount. If you would like to arrange service and make certain your money goes toward The Cause, just mention that when you make your appointment and we will make certain to put you on one of those Friday routes. Beautiful Monday

What a great weekend we all had and I hope you did too. Monday is one of our busiest days of the week. It’s a great way to get things going. You may have created new reasons to get your carpet cleaned this weekend or maybe noticed some old reasons. We can help!

We always offer free estimates on service. We understand that sometimes, especially if you have a serious issue like pet odor, you just want to learn about your options and the costs associated with keeping your home at it’s best. A free estimate usually takes about 20 minutes. It is a great way to take the guess work out of carpet cleaning.

Loving the rain

Living here in New Mexico we get the experience of the monsoons.  This morning coming to the office I noticed everything was so clean and the air smelled fresh.  What a beautiful day.  Living in the desert, I’ll never complain about “too much rain” because that is one natural resource we can’t get enough of.  It can wreak havoc on your carpet however.  Kids and dogs LOVE the rain!  When they come in, either invited or otherwise, they can bring in more than soggy clothes.  If you find your carpet, tile, rugs or furniture have become soiled due to the weather, the best thing is to allow the soil to dry completely.  You might be surprised at how much of it you can vacuum away.  However, if that doesn’t get you back to good, give us a call.  Leaving dirt in your carpet will create more abrasion to the fibers as you walk across which contributes to re-soiling.   Carpet manufacturers recommend you vacuum your carpet at least three times per week.  We’ve have very diligent customers who vacuum their carpets every day and after 8,10 even 12 years their carpets look almost new.  So remember, the more you vacuum the more life your carpet will have and the longer it will stay clean once you’ve invested in a thorough, professional cleaning.  Enjoy the rain and call us if you need us.
